Yes...it is THAT much better than other headgears |

I've been using the Olympia Headgear for about 8 years now and cannot imagine going back to the standard foam or leather types.
Bayflex is a sort of rubbery material, so when you first put it on, it feels kind of funny. But when you get hit, you feel no snap - only impact. I mean, not that us experts get hit very often, but *IF* it happens, you may not notice it.
For me, the best part is how cool it keeps your head. When I first started using it, I called it my "air-conditioned headgear". The great airflow and non-absorbent material keeps your head cool. And if that isn't worth the premium price, I don't know what is.
Oh wait, let me give you one other bonus. Like I previously said, I started wearing this headgear 8 years ago. Today, I still wear the exact same headgear and it is in like-new condition. That is a rare feat. I have a tendency to destroy every product that comes my way, but this one has truly stood the test of time.
